Who can you help? Building trust as a new affiliate

Start with people, not a sales pitch: make a short list of who you could help, and build trust by being honest about where you are.

Start with people, not a pitch

Ask yourself a few questions:

  • Who do I know who would enjoy or benefit from what our partners offer?

  • Who has talked about wanting to make a change?

  • Who would like to build something of their own?

  • Who is already good at recommending things they like?

Write down names, and why you thought of each person. It might be a friend, a former colleague, someone you know through social media, or a person who already works as an affiliate.

You don't have to decide for them whether ClubAffili is right. Your job is to open a conversation and let them make up their own mind.

Build trust by being clear and reliable

People need to understand why they should listen to you. That doesn't mean pretending to have results you don't have yet. It means being clear and reliable. Tell people:

  • why you joined ClubAffili

  • what you're working towards

  • who you want to help

  • what you're learning along the way

  • which products or opportunities actually exist today

For example:

ā€œI'm building my work as an affiliate with ClubAffili. I want to help people who are curious about [what you offer] or about creating an extra opportunity for themselves. I'm learning as I go, and I'm happy to show you how the club works.ā€

A new affiliate builds trust by being honest, doing what they say they'll do, and finding out the answer when they don't know it. If you're unsure about something, check this help centre or ask support before you pass it on.
